The meeting is attended by staff of Hanoi Law University, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Lan Anh - Vice Rector of the University (International Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Director of International Cooperation Department, representatives of the Department of Research Management & Journal Administration and the Department of Undergraduate Training, the Coordinator of the German Law Center of the University, Prof. Simon - Lecturer of DAAD working at the University. The German guests include also Dr. Stefan Hase Bergen – Chief Representative of the DAAD in Vietnam, Mr. Axel Blaschke - Chief Representative of FES in Vietnam.
The overview of the meeting
FES and DAAD have been two important partners of Hanoi Law University for many years in the fields of legal research and training, playing an active role in enhancing the skills and knowledge for the University’s lecturers and students alike.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Lan Anh warmly welcomes the visit by German partners at Hanoi Law University as well as expressing the sincere hope of expanding the ongoing connection through new initiatives which mutually benefit both parties. Over the years, the German Law Center of the University has increasingly affirmed its position in coordinating and organizing activities with other German partners, such as organizing the annual Vietnamese - German Law Week, organizing Spring courses for students, opening German language classes, recommending the University’s lecturers for short terms training and Master/Doctoral programs in Germany, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Vu Thi Lan Anh also expresses that the University’s ongoing activities with German partners have significantly promoted international cooperation in the field of law and justice between the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany. Joint activities between FES, DAAD and Hanoi Law University have all been conducted in a methodical and efficient manner. These activities have been carried out according to the set procedures and plans, and have been yielding encouraging results on the training and scientific research activities of the University.
Mr. Axel Blaschke - Chief Representative of the FES Institute in Vietnam, states that he highly appreciates the goodwill of Hanoi Law University, and that this meeting demonstrates mutual agreement in terms of collaboration orientations and research and training strategies of Hanoi Law University. He is very impressed with the development of the University and the German Law Center over the years, especially that German language courses are attracting more and more students and short-term courses for lecturers, scientific research and international publications have been expanded and promoted. He hopes that this visit will open many new directions of building comprehensive cooperation programs between the University and the Federal Republic of Germany.
At the end of the meeting, FES and Hanoi Law University agree that a 3-year MOU will soon be signed to continue the implementation of other activities in the future.
