Nguyen Phuong Nga, president of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) said the following in regards to Hanoi and the World Peace Council;

The 22nd Assembly of the World Peace Council (WPC) and the Hanoi Peace Conference were successful. The Assembly has created a new milestone in the more than 70-year history of the establishment and development of the World Peace Council.

This is the first time the Congress has been held in Vietnam, with the participation of nearly 100 delegates from nearly 50 countries. They are representatives of the World Peace Council, representatives of organizations associated with the WPC, such as: World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL). They represent the progressive and peace-loving forces in the world.

Delegates at the event agreed to adopt a political statement, which shows determination and efforts to strengthen solidarity.

The statement also helps bring together the peace-loving, progressive forces in the world to continue to fight for peace, justice, social justice and sustainable development.

These messages are widespread and have great significance in the current period, especially when the world is facing the threat of war, non-traditional security challenges and environmental degradation.

The event also shows the strong determination of peace forces to fight for sustainable development, promote efforts to protect the planet, and build a future for future generations.

We are living in the festival of international solidarity for Vietnam. Speeches at the Hanoi Peace Conference approving the great support of people in the world for the just cause of the Vietnamese people.

The Vietnamese aim for independence and freedom, socialism, efforts to build a prosperous Vietnam, and the path of socialist development.

“The delegates were moved to be reputable by the leaders of the Party and State. President Nguyen Xuan Phuc spent a lot of time talking with the delegates. Comrade Tran Thanh Man, vice chairman of the National Assembly (NA) attended and delivered the opening speech. Comrade Do Van Chien, secretary of the Party Central Committee, president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) also exchanged views with the delegates,” said President Nguyen Phuong Nga.

The 22nd assembly is also an opportunity for us to realize the admiration of international friends for President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese leader and the Vietnamese people, and for the great achievements achieved in building and developing the country.

The success of the event also shows the strong support of the progressive people in the world for the cause of building socialism, defending the Fatherland of the Vietnamese people, and the direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam in national construction and development.

Vietnam's cooperation with the World Peace Council has created a sincere, and open atmosphere for the delegates to share their thoughts and proposals.

This is also a valuable opportunity for the delegates to understand more about the country and people of Vietnam. In my opinion, this event has left them a good impression on Vietnam and the capital Hanoi. This is also a good opportunity to promote Vietnam to the world.
