Vietnamese join regional people’s forum preparations
Representatives of various Vietnamese people’s organizations took part in the first preparatory meeting, held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, on February 28th – March 2nd, for the upcoming ASEAN Civil Society Conference / ASEAN People’s Forum - 2013.
Among them was VPDF General Secretary Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Vân.
The meeting decided to hold the Forum in Brunei’s capital city on April 6th – 8th with the theme “ASEAN: Building Our Future Together”./.

Southern intellectual’s birth centenary honored
Thousands of people attended the commemoration of the birth centenary of the late Huỳnh Tấn Phát, President of the wartime Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, held on February 15th in his native village in the Mekong Delta. The commemorative function, organized by the local provincial People’s Committee, took place on the campus of a high school named after the Southern patriotic intellectual.
