Hanoi Law University participants at the 3rd Erasmus+ CCP_ Law Project Meeting at Marwadi University, Rajkot, India

The Project on developing a graduate training program on climate change policy and law (known as Erasmus+ CCP_ Law Project) funded by the European Commission (EC) through the “Education, Audiovisual, and Culture Executive Agency: EACEA”), in which Hue University, Vietnam is the coordinator and Hanoi Law University is a beneficiary partner (together with the other five from Vietnam, India and Malaysia), has been initiated since 2021

The objective of the Project is to improve the capacity and skills of the teaching staff of the partner universities participating in the Project in the field of climate change policy and law; fostering professional capacity for administrative staff of partner universities through the training program and promoting cooperation and professional exchange between the European Community, the project coordinators, the project partners, climate change experts, climate change policy and lawmakers. As a beneficiary of the Project, Hanoi Law University has its main task of developing and improving a training program on climate change policy and law to be included into the graduate curriculum at the University.

The 3rd Erasmus+ CCP_ Law Project Meeting held at Marwadi University, India from January 30 to February 5, 2023 focuses on discussions of training program development, and training on teaching and research methods in the field of climate change policy. Particularly, the topic of e-learning (how to design, prepare and deliver ICT and OER courses) is emphasized to keep partner universities to be in line with new educational trends and effectively use information technology.

Participating in this first international cooperation mission in 2023 of Hanoi Law University are Dr. Hoang Ly Anh – Acting Director of Research Management and Journal Administration Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Duyen Thuy - Deputy Head of Environmental Law Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Dang Hieu – Director of the Quality Assurance and Examination Department. These participants are not only the members of this Project at Hanoi Law University but also experienced experts with specialized knowledge of climate change policy and law and curriculum development and accreditation.

The 3rd Erasmus+ CCP Law Project Meeting is also an opportunity for partner universities to strengthen cooperation and exchange of knowledge and practical experience between the European Community and higher education institutions in Europe and Asia, thereby promoting exchange and communication between project partners through the professional exchange.

During one week of working at Marwadi University, Rajkot, India, participants will participate in seminars, discussions, study tour, experience exchange, and practical activities related to the implementation of climate change policy and law. The results of this trip will be a premise for the development and implementation of the training program on climate change policy and law in the partner universities, making practical contributions to the realization of the Millennium Development Goals on sustainable development, including climate change policy which Vietnam and other members of the United Nations are pursuing.
